Tianjin Zinc: Zinc Prices Fluctuate with Slight Decline in Premiums. In the Tianjin market, the mainstream transaction price for #0 zinc ingot ranged from 22,580 to 22,830 yuan/mt, while Zijin traded between 22,820 and 23,060 yuan/mt. The transaction price for #1 zinc ingot was around 22,220 to 22,470 yuan/mt, and Huludao quoted at 25,940 yuan/mt. The premium for #0 zinc ingot against the 2505 contract was around 240 to 450 yuan/mt, while Zijin's premium against the 2505 contract was around 480 yuan/mt. The premium in Tianjin compared to Shanghai was around 110 yuan/mt.
SMM April 22 News: In the Tianjin market, the mainstream transaction price of #0 zinc ingot was 22,580-22,830 yuan/mt, Zijin traded at 22,820-23,060 yuan/mt, #1 zinc ingot traded around 22,220-22,470 yuan/mt, Huludao quoted at 25,940 yuan/mt. The premium of #0 zinc ingot against the 2505 contract was around 240-450 yuan/mt, Zijin's premium against the 2505 contract was around 480 yuan/mt, and the premium in Tianjin against Shanghai was around 110 yuan/mt. By the close of the morning session, the premium of Xinzi against the 05 contract was around 400-450 yuan/mt, the premium of Xikuang delivery against the 05 contract was around 270-290 yuan/mt, the premium of Chihong #1 against the 2505 contract was around 180-230 yuan/mt, and the premium of high-priced brand Zijin against the 05 contract was around 480 yuan/mt. Today, zinc prices remained volatile, downstream purchasing sentiment was low, orders gradually weakened, most companies mainly restocked based on rigid demand, spot cargo in Tianjin began to increase, and traders lowered premiums and discounts to sell, leading to a decline in premiums. Overall, transactions were moderate.
